Shorty Headers (unlike long tube headers) are unique because you can install them without having to purchase a special length X pipe to accommodate the difference in header size. Shorty Headers bolt right on the exhaust manifold and allow you to use whatever X pipe and exhaust you wish beyond the headers as the shorty headers end right where the OEM system ends.
