2014-2019 C7 Corvette Hood Liner Pad Decal

Looking to add a little more show under the hood of your C7 Corvette Stingray but don't want to spend the money of a custom airbrushed design? RPI Designs has what you need with this vinyl decal. This decal is made to fit the C7 Corvette Stingray hood pad or hood liner. 

Important installation information: Due to the surface of the hood liner, this decal can only be successfully installed with time and energy to properly adhere to the hood liner.

1. Remove your hood liner from your C7 Corvette - this step is not optional!

2. Lay your hood liner on a table or workbench and make sure the temperature is 65 degrees or more. 

3. Clean your hood pad by using a microfiber cloth and warm water. Gently remove any dust, dirt or grime.

4. Allow the hood liner to dry for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

5. Wearing gloves take a hair dryer or heat gun you'll now install the vinyl decal to your hood liner. Use quite a lot of heat to allow the vinyl to become softer and stretch in and out of the bumps and valleys of the hood pad liner. Massage the vinyl by going over and over every inch of the vinyl decal. Once complete, repeat this process again. Press firmly and use heat. Work back and forth. Make sure to cover the entire hood liner, work slowly and methodically. 

6. Allow the decal to sit for 24 hours. The next day you'll want to go over any areas that have not fully adhered to the surface by using heat and pressure as you have done previously.

7. Make sure you do not install the hood liner for 24 hours after your final work on the vinyl decal of step 6. The vinyl decal needs 24 hours to fully adhere or it will fall off with engine heat.
