Whether you call it a "splitter" or a "front spoiler", the purpose of it remains the same.  A front splitter will help with high speed aerodynamics and stabilty on your C5 or Z06.  The splitter will allow more air to flow over the top of your car by redirecting the air and keeping less air from underneath your C5 Corvette.  The same way as air going through you front grille is redirected through the hood vent.  More air on top of the car will help with the aerodynamics at high speed keeping the C5 Corvette more stable at higher speeds.  

You may never need the advantages of a splitter for high speed driving, but there is another feature that all C5 Corvette owners can agree on: it makes the front of your C5 Corvette or Z06 more aggressive looking and will add value to the Corvette.
