While a Corvette looks great with low ground clearance, unfortunately, it does not take much to hit or bump and put a dent in your lower cross member. Dents can also be caused by improperly jacking up the front of the car. A dented cross member will not really affect the performance or safety of your Corvette however it does not look that great and if you seriously show your car where they put it up on a lift to examine it you can lose critical points for damage.
